I'm sure someone will post this soon enough, but I was at the Denver show standing in line outside the venue before the show...and almost right in front of us someone gets hit by a car...ambulance comes by and picks the guy up and I think to myself "wonder if we'll ever hear what happened to that guy?"
At the beginning of the show Jerry announced it was Tom "the sound guy" who got hit. William actually stopped after a couple of songs and pulled out his cell phone and dials his number and left him a voice mail of the crowd cheering.
Later they announced that he was OK and would be coming back from the hospital. I heard he made it back on the bus AND his injuries were surprisingly minor...I saw the car that hit him and it was moving pretty fast. He may not feel real lucky right now but it could have been much worse.
I just wanted to say "Get Well" to Tom and also mention that I could tell by what was said about him that he is much appreciated by the band...and having been to a few of these shows I can tell that the audience appreciates his work too.
In the end we are what we pretend to be...
