    Days of the New

Where's that new album Travis is always talking about? Can't wait. Travis Meeks has one of the most powerful voices out there. I love their acoustic rock. Even after he went Axl Rose and brought in the pianos and keyboard and whatever else he brought in.

Went AXL Rose, haha. I think he really took huge steps as a songwriter and really showed that he's not some average grunge rocker.
If you haven't seen him with the Doors performing 'The End,' I think there's video of it on his official site. It's intense.

I meant the "axl rose" thing in a good way. Appetite of Destruction 1/2 have to be the best GNR albums out there. But yes he did go axl rose, in more ways than one. Didnt he fire everyone from the band? Not that I care since he was the musical genious behind everything anyways.

No, I know you didn't. I think in soem ways Axl did make some good decisions, but some in the long run hurt the band. It's 'Appetite For Destruction,' 'Symphony Of Destruction' is a Megadeth song, haha.
He didn't quite fire everyone, I think that for the most part they left willingly. Izzy did, Slash did, Duff did..I think matt followed them.
Travis was the musical genius of DOTN though. He did write all the music and they weren't following to the direction that he was writing and wanted to just keep doing the same as they were doing and not progress. The former band members with a different singer,w ell, they really didn't head anywhere very fast and they just tried t rehash what they were doing with Travis.

Symphony of Destructions a good song :p lol! my mistake. Yea I know all of GNR pretty much left Axl. DOTN's former members left and created that one shitty band. Forgot what it was called, but to me it sucked. Their lead singer was horrible.

::shudders:: Don't remind me, I don't even want to hear/read that shitty bands name. There albums didn't sound too bad, but live, good god, they were horrible. It was like they didn't even use distortion and there singer sounded so grossly gravely it was unbearable.

Last I heard, Meeks was a meth head. He was even featured on the A&E show intervention. I doubt you'll be hearing anything worth a crap from him in quite a while if ever again.

Actually there have been two more DOTN albums released since the first one and he just released a disc titled 'Bootleg' that was a live show this past year. DOTN is also going to be going on a tour with Seven Mary Three.

Hey all you guys are big Travis Meeks Fans.  I don't know if all you remember that god dam song Broken by Seether and some chick Amy Lee.  But Travis did something similer to that but much better.  He did a song with this girl named Lennon Murphy called My Beatiful man is it fucking great.  If you wont it just shoot me an email at reddog44_22@yahoo.com and I will try and send it to you.  Later

All right nobody said what their fav DOTN song is.  My all time fav would have to be Dirty Road off of DOTN 3 (RED).  I did not care for the second album at all.  The first one was great.  Can't believe Travis Meeks was only 17 years old when he wrote it.

    Re: Days of the New

He was on the Intervention show.  I haven't seen an update show featuring him.  I hope he made it because his talent was way to intense to waste.  He can only get help if he wants it.  The first step is admitting you have a problem.
