    Torre/Mattingly to LA Dodgers

    looks like the duo is headed west.  i have been a mattingly fan since the early 80's and its going to be hard to see donnie baseball in blue/white.  the only bright spot in all of this is that mattingly's son preston is in the dodgers farm system.

    Shoulda signed with my Mets.  Make Willie the bench coach again for Torre.

    don't tell me you're blaming willie for the mets collapse? torre is a classy guy in all, but he's not a mesiah or anything. he manged a team w/ a 200 million dollar payroll.....how hard can it be?

    Willie was a piece of the collapse.  Rick Petersen MUST be fired; Omar Minaya MUST trade Lastings Milledge...fucking asshole became too much of an influence on Jose Reyes.

    I'd let Willie manage again in 2008 like Minaya promised, but no playoffs in '08, buh-bye!

    Also, Girardi's managerial career's gonna be seriously screwd.  Steinbrenner fucks...i mean, George and his 2 sons, Yankee fans, AND the NYC media are all gonna be on Girardi if he can't bring them another World Series title.

    of course! with him following joe torre people are gonna have high expectations. i think he'll do fine though. the yankees are due to win a championship.

    It's kinda cool to see Torre in Dodger blue and white.  Didn't look out of the blue to me.

    compared to mattingly, torre only wore the colors for 12 years.  mattingly, since 83

    managers are highly overrated. torre will do alright in LA cause they have a high payroll and cause people want to play for him.
