Anyone know the sure meaning of the line used twice in both of his bands in two different songs???  I THINK I may have an accurate interpretation but not sure.

No I never metioned it before.  Either rain or a metaphor for heroin is what Im guessing.  The fact he used it twice though must mean it was important to him.

I figured it out, cause Im so smart!!!   the cloud is the high.  the pink is the crack but after its smoked hes left with gray ash.  For those of you who dont know you use cigarette ash in the bowl so the rock wont suck through.  Pink turns to grey.  No more crack.  Hes alone again.

I always thought it meant that a healthy (pink) outlook had turned to a grey (ominous) one. In much the same way as skin tone and eye color turns grey with poor circulation and failing health.

 impossible to guess layne's intentions on these lyrics unless he is on record discussing their meaning.  he also uses the line "Blue clouded, grey" also in Wake Up. 

I agree with Layneandwasp there. No way to know for sure what he meant. That's just your interpretation of the song.

I always assumed this had something to do with the AA/NA stuff he got from treatment.  I think I went into a long description of this in another thread.
