I am a 33 year old full-time Visual Artist (15 + years experience in Illustration, Painting, and Sculpture) with 8 grueling years of University under my belt and I'm still NOT finished! I am happy to work as a Moderator alongside some very wonderful people here at the Alice board and @ JerryCantrell.com ;) I was born and raised in the South (primarily South Louisiana and the Gulf Coast area just less than an hour from NOLA). I am blessed to have two wonderful sons; 15 and 7 years old. They mean the world to me =) As an Artist, I've had the wonderful opportunity to travel extensively and take part in gallery exhibits locally and nationally while meeting some great people and fellow Artists along the way! I enjoy my work, listening to music (a MUST in my life), and spending time with my sons and loved ones...There's plenty more but I can't list everything---you get the gist though =). After enduring the hell of Hurricane Katrina and losing some very dear friends, my home, and a healthy portion of my sanity, I am grateful to be alive and I cherish the little things in life that I once took for granted. I was diagnosed several years ago with a painful disorder known as Fibromyalgia...In a way, it was a blessing because it slowed me down and forced me to take on a new appreciation and respect for life. My new adage is to take one day at a time...I believe in second chances, loving your brother/sister, and touching peoples lives in a positive way because we all must reap what we sew in life. Knowledge, tolerance, understanding, and love are paramount themes in my life ;) Well, this is an extremely long bio---I think I'll shut up for now!LOL!
